Absence from home
A tertiary qualification in accountancy, business management or similar will be required, along with experience in relevant financial management software and systems. Some companies will require professionally qualified chartered accountants.
An awareness of forestry operations will be valuable, along with good communications skills, attention to detail, and trustworthiness.
In larger companies, the Chief Financial Officer is generally a key member of the management team, with high levels of responsibility.
