No specific qualifications required; however sales, marketing and administrative experience and a positive and persuasive attitude are a must. Sales and marketing specialists must be good communicators and excellent at customer relations.

A good knowledge of forestry operations and different log grades/markets is also essential. 

For those working in international markets, a second language may be a big advantage; also familiarity with export protocols and international shipping operations.
